The Lebanese estate, Chateau Marsyas s.a.l., is located in the widely-recognized wine region of the Bekaa Valley known in ancient times as the Marsyas Valley. With a one 100 hectares targeted surface area, Chateau Marsyas, as it has been christened, is situated near the villages of Kefraya and Tell-Denoub. This vineyard also benefits from the best cepages available such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay; and uses the best expertise available in France and Italy. The well-known Bordeaux consultant Stephane Derenoncourt is advising Chateau Marsyas.Chateau Marsyas’s first harvest took place in August 2007. A project is under study for the adjoinment of a typical “hotel de charme” and a larger tourism complex.
